The GNUstep makefile package is used as a build and runtime environment for SKYRiX applications. The major advantage of gstep-make is that it can build Objective-C based projects on almost any platform (from Linux to Windows) without requiring the developer to know about the complicated compiler options for producing shared libraries or loadable modules.

Note:gstep-make is not required to build the SKYRiX frameworks on MacOSX, all frameworks come with OSX-batteries included ;-), that is, a PBX project file.
